According to a study by the University of Birmingham , drinking cold coffee in small quantities provides hydrating qualities very similar to those of water.

Drinking cold coffee before physical activity helps to release fatty acids from our adipose tissue, and therefore burn calories , also improving performance before doing any exercise.
