One of the ways to try to overcome it, without suffering, could be to enjoy a delicious Cold Brew . Do you know what it is?

Cold Brew means cold extract and is originally from Japan . The coffee is extracted by infusing, slowly, with cold water.

So, the first thing we think of is: so it's cold coffee !

NO , the answer is NO! ❌

Both are prepared with coffee and water and served cold, but there are small differences between the two.

DIFFERENCES BETWEEN COLD BREW AND COLD COFFEE

The name is the same, it's true, but the preparations start from profoundly different principles and it's worth knowing them all 👇

TIME ⏳

To put it simply, we can think of Cold Brew as the “ unhurried twin brother ” of traditional iced coffee .

In fact, the dripping occurs very slowly, unlike the classic espresso coffee which is prepared with a moka pot or coffee maker.

In fact, to make a good cold coffee, you have to proceed quickly, pouring or dispensing the coffee as soon as it is ready, directly onto the ice.

COFFEE EXTRACTION TEMPERATURE 🌡️

Unlike cold coffee , which is extracted with hot water and then cooled, Cold Brew is prepared cold and never heated.

Since the coffee is extracted directly with cold water, it is not subjected to the intense heat of boiling water and does not suffer any thermal shock.

HOW MUCH TO STRETCH COFFEE? ☕

With the Cold Brew method we decide how and how much to dilute the coffee.

Since it is already cold, in fact, adding ice, water or milk is totally optional.

 

CAFFEINE ☕

While caffeine is extracted more easily at higher temperatures, the high ratio of coffee to water, coupled with the long extraction time, makes Cold Brew more caffeinated than an iced coffee .
