A Valentine's Day with the Flavor of Caffè Haiti Roma
February 14th has arrived and like every year you haven't decided what to do?
I've heard that your partner should be "seized by the taste buds" and, therefore, what kind of Valentine's Day would it be without a sweet treat for Valentine's Day?
There are no real Valentine's Day desserts because with the right decorations and shapes, any dessert can become perfect for the occasion!
For this day, we wanted to offer you a different dessert than the “4 delicious ideas” recommended in our first blog article (if you missed it, click here ).
But what kind of dessert are we talking about?
A hint: 🎂 ☕
COFFEE CAKE ☕ and a touch more
The clues speak clearly, coffee cake is one of those magical cakes that can be perfect to eat at any time of the day or on any occasion!
We at Caffè Haiti Roma , however, have decided to personalize it with an even more magical ingredient.
What do you need to make it?
- 300 grams of 00 flour ;
- 3 eggs ;
- 220 of granulated sugar ;
- 120 ml of seed oil ;
- 100 ml of milk ;
- 100 ml of coffee ;
- 16g baking powder.
How to make it?
To prepare this special cake, we put the eggs in a bowl 🥚 and add the granulated sugar . Work with the electric whisk and, slowly, pour in the seed oil and milk 🥛
Sift and add the flour little by little, mixing well to avoid lumps, and add a sachet of baking powder .
Finally, pour the bitter coffee to flavor our cake ☕

Mix all the ingredients and transfer the mixture into a 24 cm diameter mould that we have previously buttered and floured.
Cook in a preheated fan oven for approximately 55-60 minutes at 165° ⏱️
At the end of every recipe, you can never miss a “sprinkling of icing sugar”, but we at Caffè Haiti Roma like to stand out!
Rather than icing sugar, we suggest you complete the dessert by adding a few coffee beans wrapped in fine dark chocolate, our DÉSIR !
