5 CURIOSITIES ABOUT COFFEE
1. Where does the word " coffee " come from? ☕
Not everyone knows that, according to different theories, coffee derives from the Arabic word “ qahwa ” which originally indicated a dark red drink obtained from the juice of some seeds which had exciting and stimulating effects, so much so that it was used as a medicine.
Over time it transformed into the Turkish word “ khave ”, until it reached us in Europe and was transformed into the Italian word “ caffè ”.
Others, however, maintain that this term derives from the region of Caffa , in southwestern Ethiopia, where the coffee plant is grown.
2. What is the best time to drink coffee? 🕐
Science answers this question!
The ideal time is between 9:30 and 11:30 in the morning.
According to Steven Miller, a neuroscientist and researcher at the University of Health Sciences of Maryland , during that time slot our body has a lower concentration of cortisol and coffee can have a greater impact on metabolism.
Furthermore, it is also good to drink coffee after lunch because it helps digestion and gives us more energy.
3. Decaffeinated coffee is not completely caffeine-free ☕

A coffee extract, therefore, contrary to what we expected, could be able to slow down the bacteria responsible for bad breath.
